Preconstruction Designer What we are looking for: Aldridge is seeking a Preconstruction Designer to join our dynamic and energetic team. This role is responsible for working with construction project teams in the creation of Prefab opportunities, help with takeoff, develop BOM’s, create design drawings and work with the BIM team to create 3D models. What you’ll do: + Work with the Project/BIM team to develop accurate and complete modeling drawing sets according to specifications + Create a Bill of Materials for the project and PreFab + Work with project team for schedule updates and PreFab completion timeline + Educate project teams and clients about the benefits of Virtual Design and Construction + Understand and promote Virtual Design construction processes and technologies + Prepare one-line diagrams and details for a variety of projects + Help identify means and methods of install + Work with Purchasing on releases + Help identify kitting and packaging + Attend coordination meetings Who you are: + College degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or Architecture, or Electrical Apprenticeship + Minimum of 5+ years in the construction industry + Knowledge of Autodesk CAD and BIM + Knowledge of Electrical material and install methods + Knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC), local codes, and construction safety requirements + Knowledge of Trimble and layout devices + Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with all levels of the organization + Excels at time management and prioritization, consistently meeting deadlines while generating high-quality work Who we are: At Aldridge, we invite you to be a part of our dynamic team, where your skills are not only valued but crucial to our success. What we offer: The annual base pay for this role is between $90,000 - $140,000. The actual pay is dependent upon many factors, including: location, work experience, education, training, transferable skills, business needs, and market conditions. The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future. The role may also be eligible for bonus.
