Preconstruction Engineer
Description

The Preconstruction Engineer is responsible to assist in providing preconstruction services for projects. They should be self-motivated and enjoy meeting new clients and creating relationships with trade partners. The Preconstruction Engineer works to analyze costs and scopes of work while maintaining administrative requirements and team coordination related to preconstruction. This position requires an adaptable team player with great communication and time management skills. In this role you may be required to travel up to 10% of the time.

Responsibilities:

Ability to read and understand construction design documents and specifications. Perform quantity take-offs for specific divisions/scopes of work. Develop industry relationships and expand professional networks that have potential to generate future sales opportunities. Initiate, organize, and attend project meetings with appropriate members of the project team and ensure that meeting agendas and meeting minutes are produced and distributed to attendees and other necessary parties. Ensure the proper bid documents are sent to bidders and plan rooms for various bid packages as they come online. Build and maintain the bidders list. Ability to confidently present work product to both internal and external clients. Assist in trade partner solicitation through phone, emails, and in person meetings Participate in pre-bid job walks and clearly document through pictures, videos, and notes existing conditions along with any verbal instructions from the person facilitating

Requirements:

Bachelor's Degree in Building Science, Construction Management, Civil Engineering or related field 1-3 years of experience in large, complex facility construction and on-site experience in the management of new construction and the renovation of existing assets Basic MEP knowledge Proficient in MS Office Valid Driver's License Required LEED AP, OSHA 10 Hour Preferred
