Portfolio Manager Home Solutions

Your role and responsibilities

In this position, you will report to and support the Global Product Manager Home Solutions and key related Product Lines to optimize the solutions portfolio and return on investment in the field of electrical Installation Materials, Wiring Accessories and Home Automation solutions for prefabricated buildings and new construction methods. You will ensure that ABB has a full understanding of market requirements in the specific area and is able to transform these requirements into product/solutions specifications and development activities. The related solutions portfolio of Installation Materials, Wiring Accessories and Home Automation solutions is a part of the Global Business Line Home Solutions: Our mission is to enhance people’s quality of life in buildings of the future with sustainable electrification solutions, services and products.We offer an interesting position with international stakeholders and the opportunity to work closely with our customers. Your responsibilities:•\tFollowing and understanding electrical installations in prefabricated construction in different markets, identification of new opportunities and preparation of solution requirements. •\tTaking the lead in co-development projects with prefabrication customers.•\tContinuous monitoring of the existing portfolio and the fit analysis.•\tManaging the technical specification of solutions and services to support the Global Product Manager in developing the business case for solutions portfolio development, maintenance and cost reduction.•\tCollecting and analyzing standards, market requirements, customer needs and values as an input for producing a solutions roadmap.•\tOwning, monitoring and delivering on the agreed solutions development roadmap, supporting timely and successful launches.•\tClose collaboration with global Product Lines and Business Lines, especially with Installation Materials, Wiring Accessories and Home Automation Global Product Specialists, to create an overall integrated solution.•\tEmbedding sustainability and circularity principles in everyday activities as both the right thing to do and a business opportunity. •\tLiving ABB’s core values of safety and integrity, which means taking responsibility for your own actions while caring for your colleagues and the business.

Qualifications for the role

\tEducation: Degree in Industrial / Electrical Engineering or equivalent.\tAt least 3 years of experience in product management role working in electrification business.\tWorking experience with relevant products: Installation Materials, Wiring Accessories, Home Automation systems is mandatory. Hands on working experience is a plus. \tUnderstanding of final building energy distribution principles and experience in working with such systems and devices (e.g. consumer units) is an advantage. \tFluent in German and English. In addition, Swedish/Norwegian/Danish or Dutch is an advantage. \tYou are proactive and have good communication and planning skills. \tSelf-motivation and independent working approach.
