The team is responsible for implementing distribution strategy, driving the delivery of market leading personal banking customer experiences and thereby maximising customer satisfaction.

We are currently seeking a high calibre professional to join our team as a Premier Business Development Manager.

Principal Responsibilities

The role is a customer facing role with high opportunity and valuable customers who make a significant contribution to our WPB business.

Professionalism, customer focus and a broad understanding of the fundamentals of service sales and financial planning are critical to the success of the business. The role holder has a responsibility to prospect, acquire and upgrade existing HSBC customers to the Premier and Executive banking proposition and refer to RM / specialist areas where required. The framework for this being focused on the broader branch and direct teams to ensure achievement of the business performance measures and plan.

You will need to understand and deliver the standards of service quality required, maintaining published Service Level Agreements and Premier Standards. The identification of opportunities for wealth reviews and referring these to an appropriate wealth adviser are key activities to achieve your goals. You are accountable for leading the customer ownership of this segment in the branch, assisting them to be wealth ready, and you need to ensure it is effectively run and managing to the Target Operating Model as defined by Group.

In delivering the business objectives you must also maintain the levels of operational integrity required by the Group, closely managing your individual performance. Contributing to and maintaining an environment where you and the wider Branch team maximize performance in achieving the WPB business objectives whilst providing the highest quality service is an important part of the way you contribute to the business.

Business Development Manager for our Premier Offshore market to achieve acquisition objectivesResponsible for but not limited to self-sourcing of new customers, managing and growing relationships for acquisition and referrals of new customers for offshore banking platformAchieve agreed financial expectations on qualified client growth for HSBC International Premier clientsExpand external network to maximize client growth opportunitiesCollaborate with HSBC locally and regionally to increase cross business and cross border referrals by engaging intragroup partners on a regular basis for top-of-mind awarenessManage and grow internal and external partnershipsDevelop relationships with Leads Generator (LG) to grow external referrals in Singapore and approved marketsResponsible for onboarding of LGs in adherence to HSBC governance and control frameworkDevelop, execute and participation in client growth strategies, events and campaignsMonitor and tracking results of campaigns/activities for replicating successes and learningsEngage prospects to share on HSBC Premier International Proposition and Marketing promotionsProvide support and guidance to prospects on account opening journey and address any enquiries in relation to account openingAttend to prospects that may come to bank from various channels which include but does not limit to walk in, PWS, contact center and intra-group channelsEnsure adherence to Anti-Money Laundering guidelines and proper conductEnsure full compliance to onboarding guidelines and regulatory requirements including KYC, account opening and tools; end to end processes until warm hand over to RMSupport customers with needs-based banking solutions to meet customers' short- and long-term financial banking needs, getting customers to be digital readyDirect prospects to WCO/IBC/Onboarding specialists for account opening wherever applicableWork closely with IBC/Onboarding specialists to ensure smooth account openingDrive clients’ wealth and digital readiness with tight engagements to encourage early funding and Internet/Mobile Banking registrationFulfil clients’ needs by making adequate referrals to intra-group for specific products or services
