In this position... 

There is an immediate need for modernization initiatives that launch new software/systems and extend risk analysis further into the horizon.  This is a dynamic role requiring the individual to manage the personnel and tasks that will be required to mold a new organization, while supporting our plant customers.

The successful candidate will have multi-faceted MP&L experiences, including logistics, supplier release, CMMS expertise, and related disciplines.  The mission of this role is to support existing Vehicle Operations (VO) plant production schedules, by managing potential supply gaps.  This is to be done by analytics using the CMMS and Ascent systems. Collaborating with the supply base, Ford plants and other internal organizations is also essential.  This role will require supply chain management strategic and tactical decision making that will protect production, at all North American Assembly plants, while reducing and minimizing premium freight.  Must be able to interact with all levels of leadership using data and analysis effectively and concisely.

You'll have... 

Bachelors Degree5+ years of expereince in Functional areas of MP&L (Supply Chain, North American Material Logistics, Program/Pre-Production Management, and/or Plant Operations)

What you'll do…

Launch the Ascent and Pega tools, which includes (but not limited to) training, work instruction documentation, process development, measuring success, and flawless execution.Support existing Plant operating plans and schedules, without needing remix or incurring production losses (or altering op plans), thereby protecting daily and weekly schedules. Find efficiencies, in current state operations, that allow the new tools to expand the horizon for evaluating supply risks.Train and educate the team, by emphasizing a development mindset employees, who both internally and externally support the Fulfillment activity.Conduct continuous improvement projects that uncover and mitigate premium costs.  Find ways to improve processes and promote cost efficiency, with respect to, lessening the need for premiums, supporting established production schedules and leading initiatives in collaboration with the MP&L Logistics organization.Communicate with leadership on the dimensions of risk, existing issues, need for assistance and solutions to concerns Operate and track performance to budget, with regard to premium freight.Manage critical suppliers and their accountability to Ford's Tier 1 expectations and Global Terms.
