Premium Management Coordinator
Job Summary

This position assists in the completion of premium billing functions including timely and accurate invoicing, account reconciliation, and collections. Investigates and resolves payment discrepancies and prepares appropriate balancing documents. Maintains an in-depth knowledge of premium management methodologies to assure accurate reconciliation.

Essential Functions

Processes and/or reconciles premium payments to maintain timely cash flow and accurate account balances. Meets audit expectations, as determined by department.

Ensures payer and governmental agency regulatory and compliance requirements are consistently followed and applied.

Performs collections activities for unpaid premiums including running and working related collections reports, issuing collections letters, terminating and reinstating.

Identify, verify, communicate and monitor applicable premium management trends and issues.

Identify and troubleshoot issues that impact invoice release and payment delays.

Provides excellent customer service by effectively communicating with internal and external customers.

Performs moderately complex account reconciliation work.

Qualifications

Required

High School Diploma or equivalent

2 years of relevant experience In a billing, account reconciliation, or accounting related field

2 years of relevant experience In the healthcare industry

Preferred

Associate's Degree Business/Finance

Bachelor's Degree or equivalent Business/Finance/Accounting
