 Onsite Monday – Friday, 7:30am-4:00pm (May move to 4-10 hour days in the future, 6am-4:30pm, Monday-Thursday, To Be Determined)

 

As a Premix Production Supervisor at our new Animal Nutrition and Health Tonganoxie, KS location, you will lead, monitor, and control the shift operation and Safety, Health & Environment (SHE) activities. You will do this with different interaction areas, training personnel, assuring good manufacturing practices and a safe and healthy work environment to produce the agreed volume of products whilst adhering to all best practices and relevant laws and regulations. You will also track and inform the Production Manager on performance related to Safety, Health & Environment (SHE) Productivity, and Operator related concerns at the end of each shift.

Responsibilities:

Contribute to the improvement of the overall performance of the plant by participating in the Production Management Team meetings and all safety meetings. Help maintain the Premix Plant IT and Security equipment.Coordinate activities between shifts to ensure a safe, smooth, and efficient transitions from one shift to the next.Track usage of ingredients to ensure continued production of finished materials and maintain accurate inventory.Conduct production related work in SAP, PCS and other applicable systems as required.Understand and lead compliance with dsm-firmenich SHE programs including Lock Out Tag Out Try Out (LOTOTO), Confined Space Entry, Safe Powder Handling, Forklift safety, Use of proper PPE, and all other dsm-firmenich SHE requirements.Corrective Action Requirements to warn offenders, take immediate corrective actions, and inform the Production Manager and SHE officer if SHE instructions and requirements are not followed.Support the Production Manager in investigating asset utilization issues as well as any incident investigations relating to, SHE, Quality, Reliability, and Traceability.Shows leadership by working to SHE standards and encouraging colleagues to work to the same standards.

You bring:

High School education or equivalent and minimum 3 years related experience in a leadership and/or industrial role. Both are preferred.Good verbal and written communication skills.Strong leadership, interpersonal, managerial, and social skills.Experience in manufacturing and quality environments.Experience with Automation Engineering/Robotics and/or startups a plus.Experience in manufacturing and quality systems with an understanding of weights and measurements along with blend plant equipment knowledge and troubleshooting abilities.Understanding of Regulatory requirements (OSHA), SHE, ISO, HACCP, and cGMPS.Should possess premix plant or equivalent, equipment knowledge and troubleshooting abilities.Process Control Systems experience.Ability to operate computers. Proficient in the use of MSOffice, Word, and Excel.Ability to use a Touch Screen. Knowledge and use of computers and computer-controlled equipment and systems.
