Eldora is the backyard winter mountain playground for Greater Denver, Boulder County, and Colorado's northern Front Range. Eldora is located just outside of the charming mountain town of Nederland, Colorado, about 20 miles west of Boulder and less than 50 miles from downtown Denver.

Eldora strives to deliver Colorado’s Front Range the most memorable outdoor adventures to locals and out-of-town visitors.   Eldora Mountain Resort employs up to 700 employees at peak season and has 680 acres of lift-accessible terrain for skiing and snowboarding, including a Woodward Mountain Park experience, and a world class Nordic Center.

Basic Requirements:​

Job Overview:

Control and direct the food preparation process and any other relative activities.Hands-on experience with various kitchen equipment.Advanced knowledge of culinary and baking techniques.Knowledge of Sustainability practices in the food industry.Assist in ordering of ingredients according to identified shortages.Arrange for repairs when necessary.Comply with nutrition and sanitation regulations and safety standards.Foster a climate of cooperation and respect between coworkers.Set up the kitchen with cooking utensils and equipment.Study each recipe and gather all necessary ingredients.Cook food in a timely manner.Assist in creation of and communicating to staff about daily specials.Ensure appealing presentation.Slightly modify recipes to meet customers' needs and requests.Check freshness of food and discard out-of-date items.Is a champion of Play Forever, Powdr’s corporate responsibility commitment to protect the environment and support our community in Eldora’s everyday operations.

Administration Duties:

Temperature logs.Accurate dating of food itemsMay assist with inventory.

Compensation: Proposed hiring rate of $19 + tips. Actual pay will be adjusted based on experience.

Benefits: This is a seasonal position eligible for season pass for employees/dependents and privileges at several other resorts.  Several discount programs (i.e. food & beverage, retail/rental, tickets, etc.) also available.
