Required Skills & Abilities:
-At least two (2) years of hotel culinary or restaurant prep cook or cook experience required
-Flexible to work AM and PM shifts, mid-shifts, weekends and holidays
-Must have the ability to communicate in English, both verbal and written
-Must be able to stand/walk for at least eight (8) hours
-Self-starter, able to work independently or in a team environment
-Strong ability to work in a fast pace environment
-Current Food Handler Certification required
Job Description:
-Prep food for from scratch recipes and make sure correct portion and quality requirements are met.
-Cook food orders according to recipe and ensure presentation standards are consistently met
-Date all food containers, consistently use FIFO method, make sure all perishables are properly stored and note any out of stock items or possible shortages
-Check pars for shift use and determine necessary preparation for line set up
-Consistently practice sanitation procedures to refrain from cross contamination, maintain cleanliness and sanitization of work station and kitchen equipment
