Prep Cook/Cook

Be part of the Saint Therese difference! We are seeking a part-time Prep Cook/Cook to serve seniors with compassionate, supportive care at one of Minnesota's leading nonprofit senior housing and service providers.

Position available:  10:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m. , working three days during the week and working every other weekend (total of 32 hours per pay period).

Saint Therese offers a continuum of care and services available in one of our four Twin Cities communities: Brooklyn Park, Corcoran, Shoreview, and Woodbury.

Since 2016, Saint Therese of Woodbury is our youngest community. Social vibrancy, distinctive living spaces and a continuum of care blend to create a unique senior living experience. We offer 216 independent, assisted living and memory care apartments; 56 skilled and transitional care suites. 

Responsibilities

The Cooks at Saint Therese of Woodbury are responsible for preparation of hot and cold meals for residents, bistro and special functions. The Cook also performs general cleaning duties.

Qualifications

Education: High school diploma or GED. Vocational training in quantity food preparation preferred.

Experience: Minimum of one year cooking experience. Minimum of one year of quantity food production preferred.

Special knowledge, skills and abilities:

Able to communicate effectively through oral and written skills. Able to work cooperatively with others. Able to lead and delegate. Able to calmly and effectively handle challenging situations.
