City Pahrump State NV Shift Varies Type of Shift Full Time Department Food & Beverage Prep Cook/Food Runner - Nugget Pahrump Nugget, Gold Town & Lakeside (Pahrump, NV) Description: Summary: Responsible for preparing a variety of food items, cleaning kitchen and other areas and maintaining inventory rotation. Essential Functions and Responsibilities: + Cook all food according to predetermined menu specifications and guidelines + Portioning of all food according to predetermined weight specifications and portion sizes in order to maintain cost controls + Operating all necessary food preparation equipment including fryers, broilers, slicers, pizza ovens and grill + Proper rotation of all perishable food items and adherence to FIFO standards + Responsible for the upkeep of hot and cold foods and refills menu items when the supply runs low + Set up and break down cook's station, stirring, watching temperatures, preparing vegetables, etc. + Knowledge and familiarity of entire kitchen operation + Maintains clean orderly work place + Prepare for a rush period, so as to work without getting behind + Adhere to Company sanitation standards + Skill in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with staff + Pleasant personality, team oriented and enjoys working with and serving people + Maintain company and health sanitation requirements at all times + Perform other duties as assigned Requirements: Qualifications + Able to interact with others in a professional and courteous manner + Ability to functionally communicate occupational-based English, both written and verbal + Ability to perform basic math + Must be at least 18 years of age + High school diploma or equivalent preferred + Verify right to work in the United States Work Cards + N/A Physical Requirements + Frequently lift and/or carry up to 30 lbs. at floor, knee, waist, and chest levels + Requires transporting, pushing, pulling, and maneuvering large loads weighing up to 200 lbs. + Frequently bend, reach, twist, squat, and kneel + Constant walking, standing, distinguishing between tastes and shades of color, and use of hearing and vision Work Environment Potential Conditions + Indoor + Extreme hot and cold temperatures, including humidity + Slippery surfaces, chemical agents, and exposure to dust, fumes and/or gases Disclaimer The above statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed by people assigned to this classification.
