Career Opportunity: The Pre-Press Manager has overall responsibility for the personnel, safety, environmental impact, quality, cost, and performance for the printing and pre-press areas within the plant. This position leads and coordinates efforts and activities utilizing his/her knowledge and experience to achieve key performance metrics that support overall plant goals. How You Will Impact Smurfit Westrock: * Responsible for the shift\u2019s production efficiency and quality of work; Ensure a smooth workflow from origin of the job to final approval. * Supervise department personnel and manage employee productivity. * Troubleshoot and resolve problems related to production, and quality issues. * Ensure compliance with GMPs and SOPs and department work instructions, procedures, and protocols. * Ensure compliance with all safety and environmental rules and regulations; create and maintain a safe and secure work environment. * Responsible for assisting training of shift personnel. * Review Daily performance for possible continuous improvement initiatives. * Participate in production meetings to review manufacturing processes for compliance. * Responsible to work with manufacturing for ensuring production equipment is to OEM standards with respective departments. * Review costs within department spends for variance. * Maintain production and invoicing records. * Communicate daily to appropriate management personnel regarding production status of tools. * Assist with development and maintenance of cost-effective efficiency and quality improvements. * Assist Management in executing operating strategies and plans and achieving company goals and objectives. * Other duties as assigned and needed for manufacturing flow.
