Your Opportunity: Taylor Visual Impressions is adding a Pre-Press Tech Manager in Fenton, MO to help serve our customers’ needs. 

 

Your Shift: 

1st Shift; Monday - Friday, 7:30am - 4:30pm 

 

Your Responsibilities: 

Supervise personnel who are performing prepress operations including facilitating, order processing, order entry, graphic arts, photo touch-up and creation of print ready artwork for Large Format Printing 

Responsible for leading and allocating work to personnel, as well as monitoring and evaluating their work for quality and ensuring adherence to set KPIs 

Prioritize and manage workflow to meet or exceed production and quality objectives for prepress production activities and cycle times by utilizing and implementing pre-press automation techniques 

Provide technical expertise, training, and production in various prepress software applications, including but not limited to Adobe InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, Acrobat Pro, DaLim Twist, Enfocus Pitstop Server, Esko Phoenix Imposition Software 

Responsible for overseeing prepress automation by utilizing Production Job Management software (PJM)  

Assist team members with requests from both external and internal customers while working within established deadlines and processes 

Research, troubleshoot, and coordinate with manager / team on escalated customer issues, lost orders, rework, expedited orders, etc 

Regularly provide performance feedback, coaching, and documentation to support corrective actions to ensure development and to motivate positive behaviors 

Direct and participate in process improvement events using a variety of tools to include 5S and lean manufacturing techniques and include ongoing continuous improvement 

 

Minimum Qualifications: 

2-5 years or related/relevant prepress experience 

Demonstrated leadership skills; must be able to drive change in a fast-paced, technical production process and exercise analytical and critical thinking skills 

Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and multi-task, when applicable, along with a high attention to detail 

Ability to distinguish colors and an understanding of color theory as it applies to large format printing 

Excellent written and verbal communication with the ability to provide clear, simple direction and delegate tasks 

Proficiency with Adobe software (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, Acrobat) and Microsoft Office 

Demonstrated proficiency in implementing pre-press automation by using Pitstop Actions, Photoshop Actions, DaLim Twist and Esko or Prinergy Imposition software  

 

Preferred Qualifications: 

Degree in Graphics Communication or equivalent advanced degree in Print Production preferred
