As a Pre-Sales Architect you would be expected to have a combination of technical expertise, solution design, and customer engagement to support the sales process. You would be responsible for drafting proposals and responding to tenders, which would involve assessing and designing complex solutions to meet our client’s technology and business needs, coordinating with involved parties in providing the most optimal proposal meeting budgetary and quality standards. The Architect would be a subject matter expert for strategic client opportunities.

 
Principle Accountabilities & Responsibilities:

Co-ordinating with the sales team and the potential/existing clients to understand the scope of requirement. Researches and evaluates client systems and architecture; draws observations and conclusions in accordance with engagement objectives. Map and design robust solutions adhering to the engagement objectives and limitations. Identify and co-ordinate with the internal team that would be working on this engagement to finalise solution. Develop proposals and RFP responses, outlining the proposed solutions, architecture, and implementation approach. Work with internal technical teams to develop new solution offerings, define service opportunities, develop standards of delivery, templates, and standard work products to meet internal and external delivery expectations. Ensure that all tasks performed comply with Insight’s Policies and Procedures.

 

 

Key Skills, Knowledge and Experience:

Overall 8+ years of experience in solution design, proficiency in Azure services, cloud infrastructure management, O365, hybrid governance and 2+ years of relevant experience in Pre-sales.  Experience with writing proposals and responding to tenders. Strong verbal and written skills and comfortable with presenting and communicating technical solutions. Experience and understanding in the following technical areas: Designing, building, and implementing Microsoft solutions based around Azure IaaS and PaaS. Azure DevOps, build/deploy CI/CD tools/pipeline, and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) experience (Terraform, Biceps) Applying Cloud Adoption Framework and Well Architected Frameworks in enterprise environments. Experience in (on-premises) Datacenter Migration (Server, Storage, Networking, Firewalls) and Transformation programs of work. Understanding of Azure Governance, Security, Identity, Monitoring, Automation (Sentinel, Defender, Azure Security Centre). Modern Workspace (Intune, Windows 11, MDM, Application Packaging, Entra ID, Single Sign On, Tenant to Tenant Migration, O365 tenant migration, G-Suite, SCCM, E3 & E5 license).  Experience with Apps, Containerization (AKS / Kubernetes).


Optional:

Ability to multi-task and handle competing priorities. Experience with Microsoft Projects is appreciated but not mandatory. Excellent communication & stakeholder engagement skills. Relevant Microsoft certifications around Azure, O365, Intune etc
