PreSales Consultant
P rovid es subject matter and data analytics expertise in sales opportunities to facilitate the discovery and capture of business needs in order to create opportunities and position appropriate solutions while engendering Client confidence and credibility. The PreSales Consultant will support the product portfolio, with a primary focus on supporting sales programs for primarily existing customers and potentially new customers. + Work closely with Sales Executives and Client Managers as necessary to provide full assistance in support of the successful achievement of DMS sales targets while adhering to cost of sales objectives. Adhere to solution selling techniques in line with the Deluxe sales methodology. + Responsible for aligning capabilities with client business requirements through a professional and ethical business approach which endorses Deluxe’s values and illustrate the value of the solutions to prospects in a compelling business manner. + Participate in the development & completion of submitted RFI/RFP documents, bid coordination, prospect qualification, discovery and requirements gathering, technical and data analytics, and design solution proposals. + Develop credibility and confidence with prospects throughout the sales lifecycle through the demonstration of expertise and strong engagement skills. + Coordinate with Product Management to stay abreast of product roadmap and maintain ability to effectively communicate roadmap to prospects and clients in support of business opportunities. Provide feedback from the market to Product Management and Marketing regarding market evolution including identification of gaps between product functionality and B asic Qualifications: Education and Experience: Bachelors in Finance, Business Computer Science and 5 years experience or HS/GED and 9 years experience in sales. Experience with Salesforce.com. Knowledge of the workings of a broad range of financial institutions, financial process and financial instruments. Knowledge of sales engineering function and sales engineering processes within a software organization. Preferred Qualifications: Experience: 6 years of experience with financial institutions or marketing solutions providers. 3 years of experience in sales, pre-sales or implementation of marketing solutions for the financial services industry. Ability to communicate technical and business information to widely varied audiences. Strong written, verbal and presentation communication skills. Strong analytical skills - both financial and non-financial.
