We are looking for a PreSales Cloud SE to work closely with our Cloud Channel Account Manager to support our Canadian Partners. The PreSales Cloud SE main mission will be to support the sales organization on developing technical strategies, offerings and all technical matters. Ideal candidates will have excellent knowledge of public and/or private cloud technologies, software development experience, network/application and security expertise.
Responsibilities:
Assist customers with creating multi-cloud and hybrid cloud security blueprints with a focus on vendor-neutral and cloud-agnostic design and best practices Become an expert in Fortinet products within cloud solutions Continuously strive to improve knowledge around the Fortinet products and solutions, along with maintaining a deep understanding of the competitive landscape and Fortinet’s ability to provide long lasting protection against the ever-evolving threats. Understand the technical requirements of the partner, reading between the lines to build a solution which outperforms the competitor offering. Be the primary technical point of contact for your partners(s) in close collaboration with your sales partner. Collectively work with Fortinet’s teams (account sales/ technical, marketing, specialization overlays) + your partners teams (sales/ technical/ professional services, managed services, etc) to develop “go to market” offerings to address Fortinet and our partners goals. Help drive technical webinars and hands-on demo’s Help training teams at SE Training events Comfortable public speaking Have a strong ability to position Fortinet solutions to the partner, whether this be remotely or in person. This requires strong communication skills and the ability to confidently present through whiteboarding, technical white papers, technical plans, or customer discussions. Ability to travel within Canada when required Manage your time effectively when working on multiple deals simultaneously, ensuring a positive customer experience is maintained. Maintain accurate activity, contact, and account technical information of all customers and prospects in our CRM (Salesforce).Minimum Qualifications:
5+ Years Experience serving in the capacity of a technical sales engineer in a cloud computing environment or equivalent experience Experience with AWS, Azure or GCP. Experience presenting and delivering technical demo's to executives, architects, and technical staff. Scripting and DevOps experience. Understanding Infrastructure as code (IaC) tools like Puppet, Chef or Ansible.Bonus Points if you Have:
Developed Cloud Managed Services AWS Certified Solutions Architect or equivalent from Azure or GCP Experience in and understanding of cloud deployments - especially as it relates to security and compliance requirements. Experience architecting and developing software or infrastructure for scalable, distributed systems. Ability to quickly learn, understand, and work with new emerging technologies, methodologies and solutions in the cloud/IT technology space. Previous Compliance audit experience.
