Joining Our Team
When you join the Presales Technical Consultant team at HP, you’ll be working closely with other Technical Consultants and sales Account Managers to help HP customers understand the value of HP hardware and solutions, while removing technical barriers to the selling process. This is a fast paced, highly collaborative environment with team members who push hard toward a common goal.
What You’ll Be Doing
As a Presales Technical Consultant, you will work directly with customers to demonstrate HP hardware, services, and solutions. By understanding customer requirements, you will help position technical solutions to solve customer’s business challenges. Presales Technical Consultants provide technical presentations to customers on a wide array of HP solutions and build trust as technical advisors. You will work closely with the sales team to win new business while retaining existing customers.
What We’re Looking For
We are looking for candidates with a university or bachelor’s degree (preferred) and at least 2 or more years’ experience in relevant field. Candidates should be able to build strong relationships with technical decision makers, have a thorough understanding of the IT industry and key technologies, and possess strong communication skills.
We are looking for motivated individuals who can balance customer engagement with constant technical skill development. A successful Presales TC is expected to have deep knowledge of HP services, solutions, and hardware. Candidates should possess, or have a plan to acquire, industry certifications in the areas of IT security, Modern Deployment and workforce solutions.
The on-target earnings (OTE) range for this role is $132,000 to $190,000 annually, with a 80/20 (salary/incentive) mix. There are additional opportunities for pay in the form of bonus and/or equity (applies to US candidates only). Pay varies by work location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
