Position Description
Plans and directs daily programs for children in their assigned group. Consistently provides developmentally appropriate and child centered activities that meet the physical, emotional, intellectual needs of the children. Functions as a team leader and role model working with assistants and volunteers in the classroom.
Position Requirements
REQUIRED:
1. Associate’s Degree in Child Development, Early Childhood, or related field. 2. One (1) year teaching experience in Early Childhood setting similar to responsibilities. 3. Demonstrated knowledge of child development/management techniques, appropriate activities for preschool/school age children, and related care regulations. 4. Must be energetic, with an interest in and enjoyment of children. 5. One (1) year of supervisory experience. 6. Must have excellent written and oral communication skills.
PREFERRED:
1. Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood, Child Development or related field. 2. Certification in CPR, First Aid, and other GA state health and safety requirements.
