Victor International leads the business outside North America with a presence in UK, Continental Europe and Australia. It is a solid, profitable, sleeping giant of the MGA sector. Given the resources, infrastructure and distribution network that comes with being part of Marsh McLennan there is a clear and obvious growth trajectory for Victor International.

There is exec level sponsorship and investment funding assured to drive this growth agenda, both organically and through M&A activity. We now seek a business builder with an entrepreneurial mindset to drive the growth of Victor International.

Role Dimensions

Reporting into Global CEO for Victor with key stakeholders in the Marsh International business, the role holder will have direct reporting of all Victor International Country CEO’s and clear management responsibility for agreed growth initiatives.

Management accountability to deliver agreed initiatives with formal segment reporting; delivering the agreed financial results to country P&L’s.Bring an exceptional understanding of product and distribution that transcends geographic boundariesDefine, agree and deliver the Victor International Business PlanRecruit, motivate and lead exceptional underwriting talentWork smoothly across geographic boundaries on a global basisSucceed in a complex matrix environment by building trust-based relationships and win-win solutionsEngage effectively with senior management at capital partnersIdentify, gain buy-in and deliver the critical initiatives to deliver outsized profitable growth.

Candidate Profile

An entrepreneurial business builder who has experience gained in both an underwriter and broker environment would be ideal.Experience gained leading a multi-country, European entity would be ideal but also not essential.Deep understanding of the MGA/MGU market.Successfully execute company acquisitionsIdentify and develop new revenue and/or capital producing business relationshipsStrong negotiation skills to secure favourable terms with insurers and other partners.A forward-thinking approach to identify new opportunities and drive innovation with the organization.Make effective presentations to small and large groups internally and externally.
