Discipline Specific Required Qualifications As an awardee of this prestigious honor, you are expected to meet the following requirements to be eligible for this Presidential Research Fellowship Award: • Comply with all UTRGV Assistantship requirements. • Register for required coursework as soon as possible to ensure your scholarship is processed in a timely manner. • Maintain a minimum overall GPA of 3.30 at all times. • F1 visa holders are required to pay the mandatory health insurance. That fee is not covered by the PRF scholarship. Preferred Qualifications Minimum PRF standards include a competitive GPA (better than 3.33/4.00), excellent GRE scores (combined score ≥ 305) if available, and/or evidence of research activity in the form of paper co-authorship, research presentations, research internship, or any other evidence demonstrating that the student will have a high rate of success conducting research under the supervision of their faculty.
