Shift: Day shift- 12 hour, 7am to 7pm, 2-2-3 schedule
Rate: $18.17/hr

$2000 after completion of 180 days, paid in 90 day increments.

You will be assisting the Press Operator on a flexographic printing press to produce printed rolls of film, according to company and customer specifications and quality standards, in the most effective and economical manner possible while maintaining assigned work area in a clean and orderly fashion.
What you will be doing:
Assumes full responsibility for the complete operation and production of the press, including the quality of all printed material.Understand basic printing terminology, press components, and general understanding of their useResponsible for the cleanliness of the presses and surrounding areasDemonstrate ability to stage press components for upcoming job, including sleeves, anilox, ink, and film stagedDemonstrate ability to verify plate numbers and compare against item specification sheetResponsible for maintaining required levels of materials (ink, film, etc.) to keep press running efficiently.Responsible for the print quality including, print position, correct copy, UPC codes, register, and impressions.Responsible for accounting for all film used and/or returned during shiftPlaces roll tickets and weights on each roll. Maintains accurate records in Shop Floor computer.Returns all inks, plates/sleeves, film, etc. to the proper locations with proper identification upon completion of an order.Learns the functions of the Press Operator; the Press Assistant could be called upon to fill in during the absence of a Press OperatorCan effectively train probationary level Press AssistantDemonstrate ability to locate and properly follow packout instructions to meet customer requirementsDemonstrate ability to stand in for operator during breaks to monitor press run, identify defects, and stop press to prevent excessive wasteDemonstrate the ability to properly clean the drum, nip rolls, and chill roll.Demonstrate ability to properly acknowledge dr blade chamber conditionPerform other duties as directed or requested by Shift Leader or Production Manager.We'd love to hear from you if:
