**Job Title: Press Brake Operator** **Job Description** We are seeking a skilled Press Brake Operator to join our team in Hagerstown. Our job shop specializes in custom aluminum cabinets and racking systems for naval electronics, serving esteemed clients such as BAE, Northrop Grumman, and Raytheon. We offer a full cycle process from sheet and block aluminum to painted and finished products. Due to increased orders, we need to expand our team. **Responsibilities** + Establish and operate sheet metal equipment under minimal supervision to fabricate and form products as per engineering drawings and parameters. + Perform loading and unloading of material by changing tools and selecting required machine programs. + Inspect and maintain press braking equipment to ensure conformance with safety requirements. + Correct any safety issues before performing operations. + Prioritize production runs to ensure customer orders are completed on time, maximizing machine run time and productivity. + Operate fabricator, start machine, and supervise displays and machine operation to identify malfunctions. + Maximize material use by applying nesting techniques and tooling. + Ensure optimum machine performance through tool sharpening as required. + Maintain and manage machine and tooling cleanliness and good physical condition. + Inspect all manufactured parts following work-in-process inspection methods to ensure they meet engineering specifications. + Resolve quality and mechanical problems and repair minor issues along with equipment adjustments as needed. + Perform tasks from blueprints, engineering parameters, and production schedules. + Set up brake press adhering to print parameters and work instructions. **Essential Skills** + Experience with micrometers, calipers, blueprint reading, inspection, quality control, CNC, and fabrication. + Good mathematical ability and the ability to read and interpret blueprints. + Ability to operate precision measuring devices such as calipers, micrometers, and protractors. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Prefer at least 1-2 years of experience setting up, adjusting, and programming press brake machines. + Willing and able to pass a background check and drug screen prior to employment. **Why Work Here?** We offer comprehensive health benefits, including dental and vision coverage at no cost to employees. The position is on the 2nd shift from 3:30 PM to 11:30 PM. **Job Type & Location** This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Hagerstown, Maryland. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $28.00 - $35.00 Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
