THIS POSITION HAS NO DIRECT MANAGEMENT OR SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS:
High school diploma or General Education degree (GED); one or more months related experience and/or
training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Regularly required to stand for long periods; use hands to finger, handle, or feel, objects, tools, or controls;
reach with hands and arms.
Must be able to communicate verbal and written instructions.
Must have mechanical aptitude and able to work with hand tools.
Must be able to lift 60 lbs +.
Must be able to read and follow a schedule.
Slitting experience. Exact measurements a must.
Knowledge of print drying systems.
Experience/knowledge of die cutting systems. Capable to set up and tear down.
Knowledge of hoist systems.
Fork truck/Clamp truck experience.
Flexo experience required. Ability to adjust/fix ink colors.
Pre-press experience. Able to use Spectrodensiltometer, draw-down tools.
Automation/packing systems knowledge.
Graphic arts degree for printing or related experience.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Maintain safety for yourself and others around you.
Maintain housekeeping standards & follow the 5 S' program.
Responsible for loading, webbing, die cutting, packaging and delivering blanks to storage area.
Maintain printing equipment and trouble-shoot print problems.
Prepare and perform print changeovers efficiently to meet production needs.
Use of hoist system to load/change plate cylinders and impression cylinders.
Adjust print pressures and colors to meet standards. Supply and maintain ink as press runs.
Identify and load board on press using clamp truck.
Identify/adjust print dryer system as needed.
Identify/clean anilox rollers.
All other duties assigned by the press supervisor.
