**Job Title: Travel Press Operator (Per diem)**
**Location: OHIO*** Cleveland area. Long term option to go direct for Operators & Setters wishing to stay and do good work.**
**Job Description - Located in Greater Cleveland**
Set up and operate heavy-duty power presses to bend, form, stretch, and straighten a variety of products such as plates, extrusions, and structural shapes as specified by blueprints, layouts, and templates. Plan the sequence of operations by applying knowledge of materials. Perform duties required to assist in setting up and operating multiple automatic and/or multi-slide presses simultaneously for a variety of stamping products. Work from drawings, route sheets, schedules, written, and verbal instructions.
**Pay:** 33 + Per diem (days worked)
**Shifts:** 2nd and 3rd shift + Overtime
**Responsibilities**
+ Check material, load coils, adjust un-coiler and material rollers.
+ Assist with the setup of complicated progressive dies, movable / stationary forming blocks, and adjust stroke and feed as needed.
+ Use micrometers, calipers, scales, and fixed gauges to check work in process and ensure adherence to specifications.
+ Move materials in the performance of duties using a lift truck or crane as necessary. Certification training provided.
+ Install and check safety devices as needed for specific jobs.
+ Report faulty equipment, defective materials, and unusual conditions to the supervisor.
+ Observe all prescribed safety rules and regulations and maintain the work area in a neat and orderly condition.
+ Perform other related duties as assigned or directed, which may require more than the normal shift hours or work week to meet company needs.
+ Any experience with Minster or Schuler presses is relevant but not required. Presses are 100-800 ton.
**Essential Skills**
+ Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
+ Experience in machine operation, specifically as a Press Operator OR Die Setter (Progressive or Transfer).
+ Proficiency with calipers, micrometers, thread gauges, go/no-go gauges, and other measuring tools.
+ Skill in punch press operation, inspection, machine operating, production, and press brake.
+ Ability to use hand tools and tape measures.
+ Experience in blueprint reading and forklift operation.
+ Mechanically inclined.
+ 3 years of manufacturing experience with some experience operating general manufacturing machinery.

**Work Environment**
Must be open to working Saturdays and Sundays (Sundays are double-time if it's the 7th day worked), two weekends a month. This is primarily a stamping facility where products for the Electrical construction, HVAC, Sustainability, and steel industry are manufactured. The work environment includes the use of forklifts, heavy-duty power presses, and other machinery in a fast-paced setting. Safety is a top priority, and all prescribed safety rules and regulations must be observed.
