Familiarizing the individual with job production and performance requirements.
Providing travel training, including the use of public and para-transit systems.
Transportation between activities.

Following all agency policies and procedures, as well as state and federal regulations, to maintain compliance. Completing all written reports and documentation within required timeframes.
Providing appropriate levels of supervision on an individualized basis
Actively engaging in all program services such as behavioral interventions, community inclusion, emergencies, etc. as needed and required.
Safeguarding and respecting the confidentiality and privacy of all individuals.
Reporting all incidents to program management immediately upon discovery as per HeartShare policy, and OPWDD & Justice Center requirements.
Ensuring that equipment and supplies are appropriately and safely stored.
Maintaining professionalism by using positive approaches when handling difficult situations. Avoiding gossip and negative discussions. Being flexible and adapting to change.
Advocating appropriately and professionally on behalf of individuals.
Serving as a role model for individuals and co-workers. Abiding by division's Personal Appearance Guidelines. Conducting oneself in a professional manner at all times.
Remaining sensitive, respectful and responsive to cultural differences of all individuals, program staff, and the surrounding community.
Participating in staff meetings, in-service trainings and on-site workshops as required for professional growth and development. Attending external trainings and workshops at direction of direct supervisor or program management. Maintaining certification, CPR/First Aid and SCIP, as required.
Representing HeartShare both within and outside the organization in a manner that promotes the mission, vision and values of the agency. Personally adhering to HeartShare's Standards & Values Statement, in addition to all other agency policies and procedures.
Undertaking any additional tasks and initiatives as per the specific needs of the programs and individuals and as assigned by supervisor.
Meeting or exceeding the DSP Core Competencies Standards by the end of the 1st year of employment.
