Job Overview:

Client is seeking a highly skilled Pricing/Actuarial Consultant to join the Pricing & Risk Management team. This role focuses on analyzing portfolios, identifying business opportunities, pricing products, and monitoring performance. The position requires a balance of technical expertise and strong client-facing skills, working closely with senior leaders and external partners.

Job Responsibilities:

Develop and implement pricing strategies to drive profitable growth among existing and prospective clientsMonitor and analyze client portfolios to assess risks and identify opportunities.Utilize SQL and Excel to conduct data analysis and develop simplistic predictive models.Collaborate with internal teams, including Claims, Development, and Account Management, to support business objectives.Present technical analyses and recommendations to senior leaders, ensuring clarity and strategic alignment.Contribute to the enhancement of rate infrastructures and automation processes for improved scalability.Serve as a key advisor in pricing methodology and actuarial analytics within the warranty space.Manage projects from inception to completion, ensuring timely and accurate delivery.Provide technical guidance and mentorship to Actuarial Analysts and team members.


Job Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related analytical field.Minimum of 5 years of experience in Property & Casualty (P&C) insurance, warranty, or a related field.Strong proficiency in SQL and Excel is required.Background in pricing, peer reserving, or auto/home insurance preferred.Experience with client-facing roles, including presentations to senior leaders.Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate technical concepts clearly.Strong initiative and problem-solving skills, with the ability to take ownership of projects.Experience with Tableau or Power BI is a plus but not required.Passage of at least five SOA/CAS actuarial exams with intent to continue (company study support provided).
