KEY OBJECTIVE

 

The position will be supporting actuarial analysis, portfolio management, support pricing initiatives, estimating and monitoring loss reserving, managing actuarial books and supporting closing process for the Property portfolio in Latin America. 

 

MAJOR DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

 

Property Actuary 

 

Portfolio Review and Pricing Performing annual portfolio review along with UW team Monitoring rate adequacy  Recommending business plan loss ratios Price monitor report Case pricing account Support pricing strategies as need it Reserving Perform annualy loss reserve reviews – includes estimating prior and current accident year ultimates /ultimate loss ratios. Monitor actual versus expected loss emergence - monthly Input, monitor and verification of loss ratio inputs as recorded in the forecast P&L. Monitor and manage reserving actuarial books Coordinate and prepare the reserving presentation for the committee  Coordinate and prepare all sendings to COG with reserving actions Monitor data quality and recommend improvements to data capture and processing Liaise with global and local actuaries Complete ad-hoc assignments Prepare and submit Reinsurance data

 

REQUIREMENTS   5+ years of pricing/reserving/portfolio management experience in Latin America Degree in Mathematics, Actuarial Sciences or related fields Strong communication (written and oral) and analytical skills; capable to influence decisions and develop key relationships within the region and overall Group; excellent “problem solving” attitude
