Pricing Analyst
Position Name Pricing Analyst Position Location US Locations Exempt/ Non-Exempt Exempt Bonus Eligibility MIP Position Description: The Pricing Analyst (PA) will be responsible for assisting the pricing organization, building pricing frameworks and proposing pricing actions that increase customer value while driving business revenue and margin growth. This individual will work closely with the Pricing Director to lead all aspects of the pricing function from understanding customer value drivers to the development of scalable pricing models and metrics, and the deployment of enterprise systems, tools, governance, and monitoring. The PA will work closely with the Revenue Team, including Product Managers and Sales Departments, as well as Purchasing and Marketing, to deliver maximum value through robust and scalable pricing activities, and highly efficient and effective tactical execution. Key Responsibilities: + Develop a deep understanding of customer value drivers and the business economics impacting purchasing decisions + Deliver customer intelligence that enables decision making based upon a clear understanding on customer spend across their product portfolio + Provide thought-leadership on pricing and bring best practices into the company + Provide strong understanding of microeconomics, price elasticity, primary variables influencing pricing, and relevant strategies for optimizing pricing + Manage internal and/or external price optimization tools that track competitor prices and inventory levels + Provide B2B value-based pricing for large sales opportunities and custom products + Work directly with Director of Global Distribution to set distributor pricing, discounts, and terms + Measure discount frequency, discount level, hit rate on discounted orders and the discount process in general + Conduct price testing, monitor results and adjust direction, when needed + Leverage data and provide robust analytics for pricing strategy decisions + Drive execution and communication by working closely across multiple functional areas Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: + 5+ years of progressive work experience in pricing optimization, finance, and data analysis with a strong understanding of pricing strategy and market dynamics. + Expertise in pricing strategy development and execution. + Experience with dynamic pricing models, preferred + Knowledge of advanced statistical analysis or machine learning applications in pricing, preferred + Familiarity with business intelligence tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI), preferred. + Strong analytical skills with the ability o interpret complex data sets and draw actionable insights. + Advanced proficiency in Excel (VLOOKUP, pivot tables, modeling) and pricing software/tools (e.g., PROS, Vendavo, or similar). + SQL knowledge and/or relational database experience required + Strong and effective verbal and written communication abilities + Excellent presentation skills, including use of PowerPoint + Reliable, dependable, diligent, highly organized with good time management skills + Task oriented + Attention to detail + Able to work under pressure and deadlines + Ability to multi-task and prioritize Education and Experience: + Bachelor’s degree required; MBA preferred + Product Management/pricing experience required Physical Job Requirements: + Sitting: Must be able to remain in a stationary position up to 50% of the while working at a desk or on a computer. + Vision: Constantly must be able to read data, reports, policies and summarize. + Talking/Hearing: Constantly communicates and presents on various topics in-person, virtually, or on calls. + Travel: Ability to travel as needed Accommodation: Candidates for the position should be able to perform essential job duties in described work environment with or without accommodation.
