Pricing Analyst

The Pricing Analyst will work closely with the Head of Pricing of RXUK and eventually work with other directors of pricing for RX globally. He/she is expected to be an experienced professional with best practices in data analysis skills.  The analyst will be responsible for preparing & optimizing pricing & data analysis, aiding to achieve commercial excellence, and helping to drive cohesive sales incentive and pricing excellence for the Reed Exhibitions business. This role requires the ability to drive insights from data analysis he or she performs, as well as proficiency in the use of statistical, excel tool and techniques. In addition, this role is expected to be the administrator of the RXUK sales incentive and pricing approval process. 

Core responsibilities:

Responsible for administration of monthly, quarterly and annual sales incentive plans and commission payments for RXUK and other sales segments. Create content and communications as it relates to the sales incentive/compensation plan and related changes Collates, analyzes, and interprets data to actionable business intelligence Coordinates with other groups including Marketing, Sales, and Finance  Administrator of pricing approval process Responsible in creating pricing strategies and suggestions based on the pricing analysis  Brainstorming of pricing policies and strategies with the events and pricing team Prepare and present reports and insights to the C-Suites Ad Hoc projects as needed 

  

Additional expectations 

Analyze strategic capabilities for incentive and pricing plans and effectively communicate conclusions to articulate a value proposition to Head of Pricing. Work independently on regular analytics request, create new deliverables as client needs develop. Take ownership of overall sales incentive and pricing submissions, coordinate response and facilitate completion of sales/pricing reports. Comfortable in executing different Statistical methods, advanced excel formulas, etc.  Contributes to process improvements; Uses best practices and knowledge of internal or external business issues to improve products or services  Requires conceptual and practical expertise in own area Has knowledge of best practices and how own area integrates with others; is aware of the competition and the factors that differentiate the company in the market Occasionally leads the work of small project teams; provides informal guidance to junior staff Works with minimal guidance; Explains difficult or sensitive information to a wide range of audience (from staff to C-suite levels)Initiate and present reports to summarize activities on data analysis

Qualifications/Requirements:

Bachelor's Degree holderMust have at least 2 years of working experience in the related field is required for this positionAn understanding of events, sales, advertising and marketing strategyShould have good business acumen, commercial mindset and strong data analytics capabilitiesAbility to work across various industry segments.  B2B experience is an asset. Strong qualitative and quantitative analytical skills to turn results into actionable plans.
