Pricing Manager

Location: Mumbai

ROLE PURPOSE

The role exists to support the Pricing and Patient Excellence strategies for existing and upcoming Takeda therapies in country’s public and private healthcare ecosystem through supporting the Pricing and Patient Access initiatives in the country. The incumbent works in close coordination with commercial, finance, tendering, Institutional business as well as regional/global access and pricing teams. She/he works in the Pricing team to represent Takeda India in Area, Regional and Global Pricing and Access engagements.

ACCOUNTABILITIES

Strategic Pricing:Define Pricing Strategy by product and conceptualize price protection strategies that align with Takeda’s business objectives and market conditionsCollaborate with cross-functional teams to evaluate pricing models and optimize profitabilityGain leadership alignment on Pricing StrategyGuide New Product Pricing & Business Plan discussions

Market Analysis:Conduct thorough market research to understand competitive pricing trends, reimbursement landscape, and customer preferences.Provide actionable insights and recommendations based on market data.

Price Tracking and Management:Monthly tracking of pricing dynamics for Takeda products through dashboardsEnsure all pricing strategies comply with regulatory requirements and internal policiesImplementation of SOPs and processes related to pricing

Analytics:Work with BI team/independently to develop comprehensive pricing dashboards for tracking pricing KPIs at product levelAim to develop sophisticated analytics and visualization solutions to generate pricing forecasts basis internal and environmental factors (including competition)

Financial Forecasting and Budgeting:Prepare pricing-related financial forecasts and budgets, ensuring alignment with overall business goals.Monitor and report on pricing performance against key KPIs.

Stakeholder Management:Mapping of key stakeholders/ Account for Pricing excellence and understanding the gap/opportunities between Access and Pricing.Work cross-functionally with team to improve Access and Pricing efficienciesServe as the main point of contact for pricing-related queries and issues

Critical technical, professional and personal capabilities

Proficiency in cross-functional collaboration and decision-makingHigh impact communication/presentation skillsExpertise in Excel and PowerPoint; understanding of visualization software – PowerBI, Tableau etc. would be an added advantage

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, BEHAVIOURAL COMPETENCIES AND SKILLS:

Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or a related field. MBA or advanced degree preferred.Proven experience 02 to 05 in pricing management within the pharmaceutical or healthcare industry.Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data sets.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Proficiency in pricing software and tools.
