The APP who joins this practice will be part of a 3 physician team with 1 Advanced Practice Provider and will be seeing 18-22 patients a day. Charlevoix Primary Care offers in-office lab draws and 1:1 MA’s. Full-time providers are expected to have 36 hours of scheduled direct office patient care time per week, as defined by the start of the first scheduled appointment to the start of the last scheduled appointment. As a health care provider, the Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant works in conjunction with their physicians in providing a full spectrum of primary care services to their assigned patients. The primary responsibility of the nurse practitioner or physician assistant is to promote and maintain health in all patients; and to prevent disease and illness exacerbation. Assists in policy and procedure development Maintains visibility within the community as a primary health care provider. Serves as a role model to clinic staff, faculty, and the community at large. Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned. Standard Qualifications Education / Training: Master's Degree in Nursing OR a master’s in physician assistant studies Work Experience: New grads welcome Certification, Licensure, Registration: State of Michigan Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant license required. BCLS Certified Other Qualifications Candidate must apply for and be granted applicable clinical privileges through MHC’s credentialing processes before rendering services Good judgment and problem-solving skills.Excellent written and verbal communications skills.Ability to make quality, independent medical decisions.Time management and organizational skills.
