Job Title: Primary Transportation Lead

Function: Supply Chain

Reports to: Country Head Logistics

Location: Head Office - Karachi

Job Purpose

The scope of this role will be cross category and will include all logistics operations. Outputs of decisions of this role will be high profile and impactful, so a proven track record of successful stakeholder alignment and project delivery is essential. The ideal candidate must possess exceptional leadership skills to effectively manage diverse teams, internal and external stakeholders.

Job Responsibilities

Manage day to day transport logistics operations across Pakistan Business.

Drive logistics optimization projects, enabling major transformation.

Drive Customer Service Mindset initiatives across the value chain as well as lead continuous improvement.

Drive Cost Effectiveness projects.

Effectively manage relationships and build efficient partnership with 3PL.

Delivery Cost & Service targets of transportation

Work closely with Distribution Planning & Customer services to ensure that daily / weekly demands of transportation are met. 

Coach and manage team of zonal transportation leads and Executives.

Experiences & Qualifications

Degree in logistics, supply chain management, engineering or related disciplines.

Minimum of 5 Years in Supply Chain operations, with experience in B2B logistics and 3PL management, knowledge for end-to-end transportation management, as well as industry knowledge of distribution method and costing management.

Preferred Skills

Ability to understand practice from other companies and industries and apply them to the organization, knowledge of warehouse leasing, transportation market. Budget planning and execution Finance competence. Ability to analyze and understand financial data/report to identify operations issues and opportunities.

Candidate needs to be a self-starter who can work independently whilst also keeping the wider stakeholders engaged.

Excellent communication and team-work skills are essential.

Good organizational awareness and ability to build collaborative networks across the business.

High level of curiosity to embrace continuous improvement using latest technologies and resources.
