Responsibilities + Responsible for the creation of complete manufacturing system concepts focusing on Quality, DFA/DFM, + Standard and Universal solutions, and best-in-class technologies and methods. + Responsible for standardization of manufacturing engineering processes and equipment on global base. + Creation of global technical specifications, process guidelines and design standards for assembly equipment. + Core and Innovative production process solution development. + Develop pre-serial universal line concept for low volume and pre-serial build. + Develop functional equipment specifications, evaluate quotations for technical content and cost breakdown. + Collaborate with experience equipment builders and designers to define universal and standard machine design. + Work with the ME Team Leaders, Senior ME’s or Mgr., and plant staff to evaluate these new concepts for consensus and implementation. + Assist in developing equipment/station layouts considering direct labor manning/costs, efficient material flow and handling, product quality and safety, energy efficiency. + Assist in prototype build for the first Core samples and New P&P solutions. + Assist in preparation & creation of key standard manufacturing documents: PFMEA, Flow chart, List of Special Characteristic, Control plans, MFS. + Assure material and equipment availability for the first trials and first samples build within define core processes and universal line concept. Coordinate first production and measurement of the first samples to identify, justify quality and implement correction actions to improve product quality, process yields and throughput. + Assure Lean Line Design methodology approach during new process developments. Required skills and experience + Bachelor’s / Master’s degree in university with academic study/major in Engineering, Engineering Technology, Technical Science or related field. Minimum 5 years’ experience with airbags manufacturing processes development and new launches industrialization.
