The ideal candidate will have experience in business development, product management, or complex business strategy, with an equal ability to derive meaningful insights from complex data sets and present to c-level executives across a variety of business functions. Key job responsibilities - Identify barriers to meeting customer needs across key industry verticals; evaluate and prioritize missing capabilities to unlock business growth - Gather customer intelligence from active deals about customer procurement needs; identify patterns and build case to invest in capabilities that address growth opportunities - Quantify opportunities to invest in missing capabilities; influence partner roadmaps to improve ability to meet customer needs - Build frameworks to track and monitor readiness to compete and win across industry verticals and product segments - Use industry and customer intelligence to partner on long-term forecasting models; build 3-year plan for Managed Spend - Define criteria for solution-selling approach based on industry-specific learnings and customer feedback - Build GTM strategy based on category readiness and solutions roadmap - Work with partner teams to surface customer insights to drive improvements in pricing, selection and delivery experience capabilities - Own a monthly customer business review mechanism About the team The Managed Spend team develops and executes effective sales strategies to win the largest/most-complex contract spend deals across the Amazon Business customer base. We are on the leading edge of new-business acquisition for managed spend at Amazon Business. Basic Qualifications - Bachelor's degree - Experience developing strategies that influence leadership decisions at the organizational level - Experience influencing internal and external stakeholders - 7+ years of professional or military experience - Experience working with, presenting to, and influencing C-level executives, procurement, finance, and legal and internal stakeholders - In-depth understanding of B2B Procurement products/services and industry trends Preferred Qualifications - Experience thinking and working creatively to develop unique joint value propositions and product strategy within a partner ecosystem - Experience with financial modeling for commercial pricing terms - Master's degree in Business or Economics or comparable work experience - Experience in developing and implementing Business to Business (B2B) customer solutions strategies - Excellent business judgment, with a track record of generating ideas and solving problems independently - A strong track record of project delivery for large, cross-functional, projects - Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities - Experience managing complex customer relationships, capturing customer requirements and building prioritized product roadmaps Amazon is committed to a diverse and inclusive workplace. The base pay for this position ranges from $158,400/year in our lowest geographic market up to $262,000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
