Role description:

Arcadis is seeking a high-caliber Principal to join our Workplace Practice Group practice based in Washington DC. This is a role where you play a pivotal role in guiding clients through workplace strategy and fostering a positive and adaptive work environment. Working closely with the client organizations, the Workplace Principal, develops solutions that aim to align the work environment and work practices with organizational business goals and objectives at the site, campus and portfolio levels.

Role accountabilities:

Recognized for specific expertise and leadership within the firm and for consistently delivering a significant body of work in support of the larger goals of the practice. Manages multiple project teams, including consultants and outside service providers, or a firm-wide department with overall responsibility for work quality, employee growth and profitability.  Implements defined operational duties required to reach identified goals and develops and nurtures existing and prospective client relationships Operates with a high level of independence, but coordinates and works within corporate authority limits on complex assignments. Possesses considerable business and entrepreneurial knowledge of the practice and its businesses and service lines, and collaborates across the organization to manage project- or department-related decisions.  Works to advance our reputation for quality and creativity.  Administers and monitors guidelines of practice and ensures compliance with local laws and regulations. May manage a service or practice area in or across regions or lead a service line with significant revenue.  Carries out operational duties required to reach defined goals, the successful completion of local, regional or multi-national projects and business opportunities.

Qualifications & Experience:

Minimum of Bachelor's degree in related design field or equivalent certification. Preferably 15+ years of experience in the field.  Professional registration or certification in multiple jurisdictions related design field preffered.   LEED accreditation (or other similarly qualified environmental market standards, such as BREEAM, Estidama, Advanced knowledge and practice of local  business Considered an asset.  Strong and proven business acumen with corresponding credentials.  Proven leadership skills and ability to effectively assess risk.

Arcadis offers benefits for full time and part time positions. These benefits include medical, dental, and vision, EAP,  401K, STD, LTD, AD&D, life insurance, paid parental leave, reward & recognition program and optional benefits including wellbeing benefits, adoption assistance and tuition reimbursement.  We offer nine paid holidays and 15 days PTO that accrue per year. The salary range for this position is $109,000 - $185,000. Actual salaries will vary and are based on several factors, such as experience, education, budget, internal equity, project and location.
