About Our Client:

Our client is a leading consulting services firm.

Position Scope:

Our client is currently looking for a Principal-level Consultant to contribute to the depth of expertise and business growth in its Toronto office.

Responsibilities:

Establishing strategies and developing solutions that meet client needs including:

Total rewards strategy development and/or alignment. Broad-based compensation design (e.g., competitive benchmarking, salary structures). Incentive plan design. Job architecture and levelling frameworks. Job evaluation. Pay equity compliance (provincial and/or Federal). Develop and maintain client accounts and relationships to help drive long-term sustainable growth. Identifying and pursuing new business opportunities with prospective and current clients. Keep abreast of current market trends in the Total Rewards space. Contribute to the profile of the firm’s expertise, brand, and market positioning in the region via public forums (conferences, training sessions, articles, media inquiries, etc.). Work in a highly collaborative environment with other advisors across practices. Demonstrate leadership and the ability to mentor, train and develop other consultants and analysts.

Required Skills and Knowledge:

Excellent oral and written communication skills to inform, influence and align senior-level clients on proposed solutions. Ability to lead and develop teams of consulting professionals. Ability to work both autonomously and collaboratively in a team environment. Qualified candidates should also possess and demonstrate the following: Adherence to company values: excellence, respect for individuals, initiative, collegiality. Leadership and strong interest for teamwork. Rigour and strong analytical capabilities. Transparency and diplomacy. Agility and listening skills. Ability to manage several projects, defined budgets and tight deadlines. Experience working in a consulting practice and/or leading a compensation team.

Education and Experience:

At least 10 years of experience in compensation consulting, or in a senior-level compensation role within an organization. Bachelor’s degree, or Master’s degree in Human Resources/Finance or the equivalent.
