The Disaster Recovery Governance is a key position within the Global Infrastructure Risk and Control team, supporting the governance of the bank’s Disaster Recovery (DR) program. Emphasis will be placed on ability to perform detailed reviews of DR Plans and identify gaps or discrepancies based on a defined assessment. The successful individual will be able to clearly articulate these gaps and understand possible solutions that can be shared with the assessed.

Principal Responsibilities

• Perform detailed assessments of Technology Disaster Recovery Plans, based on a defined assessment, ensuring the DRP assessment documentation is accurate, complete, and communicated timely. • Help to drive the maturity of DRPs, ensuring documentation consistency, and assessing the likelihood of recoverability. • Communicate deficiencies and successes of the assessed DRPs to various individuals across technology. • Participate in required training and provide feedback to improve it. • Help you manager in identifying and managing risks related to Disaster Recovery event documentation. • When required support audit and remediation efforts, including the improvement of the DRP Assessment program.

Skills

• Hands-on experience in disaster recovery/business continuity/crisis management. • Basic understanding of financial services technology landscape as it relates to disaster recovery including operating systems (Windows, UNIX, Linux, etc.), server management, information security, networking, application development, storage and backup, virtualization and/or cloud technologies (Azure, AWS). • Experience in reviewing documentation and identifying gaps based on defined criteria. • Industry recognized certification in Business Continuity/Disaster Recovery a plus. • Experience with the Fusion tool a plus.

Competencies

• Motivated staff who deals well with ambiguity and can help drive execution. • Ability to perform DRP assessments and clearly document associated deliverables. NTAC:3NS-20 • Critical thinking and effective verbal and written communication skills are required. • Proven ability to build relationships across the organization to help ensure the remediation efforts identified by the team are understood, supported and completed by the various stakeholders. • Gather and interpret data and information in different forms and / or states of maturity, and synthesize into a clear message to Manager.

Experience Required

• Bachelor degree in an applicable technology field (Computer/Data Science, Engineering, etc.). • 14+ years of technical experience in the IT Industry. • Should have minimum 8+ years in Infrastructure • Should have minimum 4+ years of experience in the DR Engineering and minimum 2 years hand on DR Governance. • 4+ years of roles effectively managing multiple stakeholders at the same time. • Experience producing executive level reporting
