Job Description:

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Avionics Aftermarket Business Development Leader to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for driving the growth of our aftermarket business by identifying new opportunities, building strong customer relationships, and developing strategic initiatives. This role requires a deep understanding of the avionics industry, excellent communication skills, and a proven track record in business development.

Essential Functions:

Develop and implement a comprehensive business development strategy for the avionics aftermarket sector.Conduct market research to identify trends, opportunities, and competitive landscape in the avionics aftermarket industry.Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers, including airlines, MROs (Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul organizations), and other stakeholders.Drive sales growth by identifying and pursuing new business opportunities, including partnerships, alliances, and new market segments.Lead the preparation of proposals, presentations, and negotiations to secure new business contracts.Work closely with engineering, program management, sales, operations, and customer support teams to ensure the successful delivery of aftermarket solutions.Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) to track the success of business development initiatives.Represent the company at industry events, trade shows, and conferences to promote our aftermarket solutions and expand our network.Identify potential acquisition targets within the avionics aftermarket sector to support strategic growth initiatives. Conduct due diligence and coordinate with relevant departments to evaluate and integrate acquisitions.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field. MBA or advanced degree is a plus.Minimum of 12 years of experience in business development, sales, or marketing within the avionics or aerospace industry.In-depth understanding of avionics systems, aftermarket services, and the aerospace market.Demonstrated success in driving business growth and achieving sales targets.Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively present to and influence senior stakeholders.Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a strategic mindset.Proven leadership skills with the ability to motivate and guide cross-functional teams.Strongly aligns to business values of customer first, move fast, own it and speak candidly.Willingness to travel as needed to meet with customers and attend industry events.

Preferred Additional Skills:

Familiarity with avionics systems, MRO operations, and industry-specific regulations (e.g., FAA/EASA compliance).Experience with data analytics tools and methodologies to inform market strategies and performance evaluations.Ability to pivot strategies based on market shifts or organizational needs while maintaining a focus on long-term objectives.Experience identifying inefficiencies in business operations and implementing streamlined processes for better productivity.
