Job Description:
The Special Missions Group within L3Harris is seeking an Execution Program Manager for the Armed Overwatch (AO) Program. This person will be responsible for managing day-to-day execution of the program, ensuring timely and on-budget task completion. This role includes leading daily cross-functional standups, holding team members accountable for deliverables, and working closely with the Program Manager (PM) to drive execution efficiencies and prioritize program goals. The Execution PM will interface directly with their counterpart on the AO customer side, coordinate internal and external program reviews, and be a problem solver who can work autonomously. This role requires an understanding of aircraft programs, certification processes, and the ability to summarize and relay status for the PM.
Essential Functions:
Daily Program Management: Oversee the day-to-day execution of the Armed Overwatch program, hosting daily cross-functional standups to track progress, identify issues, and hold team members accountable for completing tasks on time and within budget.Task Accountability: Work with Control Account Managers (CAMs), PMO, subject matter experts (SMEs), and task leads to ensure deadlines are met and issues are addressed proactively.Collaborate with Program Manager: Partner with the Program Manager to strategize on task efficiencies, prioritize program goals, and continuously improve execution processes.Internal & External Coordination: Coordinate and facilitate internal and external program reviews, working closely with the execution PM counterpart to align on expectations and deliverables.Cross-Functional Leadership: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure clear communication and task ownership, driving projects to completion with matrixed teams.Execution Summary Support: Work closely with engineering teams to understand and summarize complex technical and execution discussions for the PM, providing concise and clear updatesQualifications:
Experience:
Bachelor’s Degree and a minimum of 12 years of prior relevant experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 10 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 16 years of prior relatedExperienced in maintaining a focus on aircraft programs and development. Familiarity with airworthiness certification and engineering processes is essential.Skills:
Strong leadership and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.Ability to work autonomously, be self-driven, and proactively solve problems with minimal supervision.Proficiency in Integrated Master Schedules (IMS) and Earned Value Management Systems (EVMS) to help CAMs track task progress.Previous experience as a project manager managing multiple projects at once.Tools:
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, SharePoint, and experience with MS Project is preferred.Knowledge: In-depth understanding of aircraft production builds, certification processes, and experience in engineering-related discussions.
