Principal, Program Manager, Amazon Flex

Amazon Flex works directly with independent contractors – called delivery partners – to make deliveries to our customers. With Amazon Flex, individuals can now be their own boss delivering Amazon packages. We are seeking a Principle, Program Manager for Amazon Flex in the Worldwide Marketing & Communications team. In this role, you will own, develop, and drive key global programs, processes, and mechanisms to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of the organization. This role is responsible for developing and leading processes for inspecting and reporting progress against global goals and standards; driving a centralized, comprehensive understanding of key performance indicators; and managing critical organization-wide performance and roadmap review mechanisms. The successful candidate will be self-motivated, passionate, highly analytical, detail-oriented, possess solid interpersonal and communication skills, and be comfortable working independently to deliver results. You will work cross-functionally and across geographies with stakeholders at all levels. You think strategically, write effectively, and plan accurately to execute and deliver on weekly, monthly, quarterly and yearly objectives. You effectively coach functional leadership and partners on operational policies and tools, and drive holistic operational excellence across the organization. Key job responsibilities • Own strategic planning, execution, and reporting for key global programs. • Ensure alignment on overall strategic goals, standards, objectives and key results, and metrics for planning cycles. • Analyze business performance, including defining and tracking KPIs, issue identification and resolution, in support of organizational goals. • Create and manage key reports and mechanisms in support of the organization. • Drive operational optimization and efficiency, maintaining and improving global tools and processes. Basic Qualifications - 7+ years of working cross functionally with tech and non-tech teams experience - 7+ years of program or project management experience - 7+ years of managing, analyzing and communicating results to senior leadership experience - Bachelor's degree - Experience implementing repeatable processes and driving automation or standardization - Experience defining program requirements and using data and metrics to determine improvements Preferred Qualifications - Experience delivering projects within scope, time, budget and quality - MBA - Experience delivering cross functional projects - Experience with tools/systems to analyze data including Excel, Access, SQL or other data management systems - Experience working with, presenting to and influencing senior executives up to VP level Amazon is committed to a diverse and inclusive workplace. Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $124,900/year in our lowest geographic market up to $206,500/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
