Knowledge Skills Abilities:
Thorough knowledge of special education policies and procedures which govern the delivery of services to students with disabilities. Thorough knowledge of adolescent behavior. Ability to plan, organize and evaluate a school program. Excellent oral and written communication and human relations skills.
Education Training Experience:
Master's degree from an accredited college or university with course work in the areas of administration, supervision, and curriculum. Experience as a classroom teacher; Desirable to have experience as an assistant principal. Other combinations of applicable education, training, and experience which provide the knowledge, abilities, and skills necessary to perform effectively in the position may be considered.Certificate License:Maryland certification required for principal and supervisor, or Administrator II, and special education or related field.
