Principal, Strategy Consulting-Patient Engagement

Job Overview
Within IQVIA’s Strategic Advisory practice, Patient Engagement is a specialized team of strategy consultants focused on providing life sciences clientsexpertise in patient centricity, patient engagement, patient research, patient support advisory, and pre-Rx consumer activation. The Patient Engagement team is leading the charge in driving innovative solutions that redefine how the industry understands and engages with people living with disease to deliver better outcomes. As well as how it finds, reaches, and communicates with every person. As a result, members of this team may also drive strategy projects related to brand launch and commercial strategy, new commercial models, customer experience, omnichannel and digital marketing as well as digital health. 

We are looking for an experienced sell and deliverPrincipal level strategy consultant who can work directly with life science clients to independently source business opportunities, drive lead generation, act as a strategic thought partner and oversee delivery of consulting projects in the area of Patient Engagement.  

An ideal candidate will be a formally trained strategic consultant and problem solver, an excellent communicator, a demonstrated business development (BD)generator, and client relationship manager. Secondarily, this person will also have experience in supporting the life science industry with their quest toward enriched patient engagement and personalized care.  

Finally, be both a self-starter and a highly engaged team player who will take an active role in mentoring teams, collaborating within our practice area and across our broader consulting business, both in office and at client sites.

Essential Functions

Able to sell and deliver projects to clients with an assigned Principal level sales target. Develop, oversee, and deliver insightful, value-added strategies that address complex client issues and ensure client satisfaction.Create and generate revenue through lead generation, client engagement, and response to RFPs for existing and new client organizations.Allocate direction, advice, and intellectual leadership to clients and delivery teams.Mentor, coach, and share subject matter expertise with others to help develop individuals and capabilities delivering world-class solutions for clients.Provide clear and insightful guidance to ensure successful development of client reports and presentations.Strong communication and presentation skillsLead thought leadership and firm building initiatives.Remain current on industry, clients, and competitive trends and directions to anticipate and identify new business challenges and issues with assigned clients.Contribute to the enhanced awareness of consulting services in the marketplace, through speaking engagements, client meetings, and publications.Participate in annual performance review team processes.Engage in recruitment and selection of new staff.


Qualifications

10+ years' experience in strategy consulting in the pharmaceutical and healthcare industry with evidence of career progression required.Bachelor's degree required; Masters preferred.Prior experience and recent track record selling strategic consulting projects to clients independently,including a rolodex of clients and companies that can be engaged independently. Demonstrated experience in patient centricity, patient engagement, patient support services advisory or new commercial model, omnichannel strategy, and digital health.Proven capability to identify new revenue opportunities with existing clients.Builds supportive relationships within a team, while actively listening and adapting to others work styles while focusing on shared goals.Ability to speak knowledgably with various levels of leadership including c-suite about brand, launch, and commercial strategy services to identify pain points and build relationships as well as solutions.Expresses ideas in a clear and concise manner; tailors’ message to target audience with the gravitas to build rapport to sell services and recruit practitioners.Applies an analytical approach to problem solving and reaching logical conclusions. Gathers information from a variety of sources and quickly gains an understanding of it. Works effectively with complicated, conflicting, or ambiguous information, and looks beyond the surface of issues to identify their underlying causes and patterns.Takes a proactive approach to generate activity, taking appropriate risks where there is a high likelihood of success.Drives creative solutions and outside the box thinking while fostering the same in others. Involved in generating ideas and seeing them through to implementation.Sets clear direction and delegates appropriately allowing direct reports the means to achieve their goals. Looks for opportunities to develop team members by encouraging independent decision making and taking on additional responsibilities.Shows comfort and aptitude using technology to reach goals more efficiently while continuing to maintain a high standard of quality. Approaches advancements in technology with a willingness to understand and implement initiatives leveraging its benefits.

The potential base pay range for this role, when annualized, is $190,500.00 - $353,900.00. The actual base pay offered may vary based on a number of factors including job-related qualifications such as knowledge, skills, education, and experience; location; and/or schedule (full or part-time). Dependent on the position offered, incentive plans, bonuses, and/or other forms of compensation may be offered, in addition to a range of health and welfare and/or other benefits.
