Principal – Senior Rewards Consultant

We are seeking a talented individual to join our Workforce Solutions team at Mercer. This role will be based in Melbourne. This is a hybrid role that has a requirement of working at least two to three days a week in the office.

Principal – Senior Rewards Consultant

Responsible for building and converting a pipeline of high value consulting opportunities addressing the business needs and requirements of clients and prospects.

Provide strategic consulting advice and direct the delivery of key projects.

Proactively contribute to practice strategy and direction, work closely with other Principals, Practice and Sector Leaders to coach and guide client development and consulting staff, and undertake defined projects where needed and agreed with the Practice or Market Business Leader.  

We will count on you to:

Lead solution design and client delivery to ensure optimal outcome for the client and Mercer.Provide trusted advice to senior level clients on complex, significant and/or sensitive issuesLead business development and CRM activityIdentify and develop opportunities to grow and new business with both existing and new clients.Actively develop own and other’s capability through informal and formal learning opportunitiesExecute on agreed business plans to ensure revenue growthDevelop and refine a differentiated service offering that leverages Mercer capabilities and assetsProactively support market profile and position Mercer as an expert advisor in the area of practiceDemonstrate thought leadership through writing articles and POV’s, speaking at conferences and client events

What you need to have:

Proven track record developing and sustaining business with clientsDemonstrated experience identifying client needs, developing appropriate solutions and successfully selling significant scale consulting interventionsDemonstrated experience in engaging and effectively managing people in high stakes business development contextsExtensive experience in managing complex projects, including stakeholder management, solution design, directing project delivery, managing quality of client deliverables, and managing commercial aspects of project deliveryAble to develop and sell into high level client relationships,Able to develop “trusted advisor” relationships with C-Suite level executivesAdopts a C-Suite perspective to business, organisation and people challengesBroad understanding of human capital issues and solutionsAble to design and implement a variety of solutions, programs and interventionsAble to work collaboratively with colleagues in other service areas on new and extended business development activities, client relationship management and delivery of integrated solutionsWell-developed communication skills with demonstrated ability to engage, build rapport, “carry the conversation” and present recommendations at the senior executive or board level.Understanding of relevant legislative and regulatory frameworks which impact service offerings and solutionsDemonstrable analytical skills (financial and statistical)
