YOUR IMPACT
The Principal Architect is an expert individual contributor who creates and delivers projects and initiatives supporting Cloud Service Delivery goals. The Principal Architect interacts directly with OpenText Cloud Service and internal customers to design, develop, and implement innovative solutions. He/She is a technical expert in Extended ECM and its emerging technologies. He/She is expected to define and influence OpenText tools and processes. The Principal Architect will provide technical mentoring for other team members and new hires.
WHAT THE ROLE OFFERS
Acts as the capability lead in customer and internal projectsContributes information towards continuous improvement and participates in innovation and process improvement within the Team that are aligned with organization goalsLeads investigation and conducts root-cause-analysis for issues/defects raised by clients during testing and post-production from within the business units and recommends action itemsEvaluate current processes and tools for weaknesses and areas for improvement to prevent or minimize issues Implement changes for existing data integrationsDelivers project status updates to clients, delivery/project managers, upper-level management and counterparts as necessaryChallenges and drives continuous improvement, develops and documents best practices within the geo level.Creates and conducts training as required (brown bag sessions, info sharing, etc.)Provides technical consultation and guidance to different business unitsAct as point of contact for internal implementation discussions and consultations for any projects in different business units
WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED
Educational Requirement: Computer Science degree/other technical discipline or equivalent experienceMore than 10 years of work experience as an IT professionalMust have an extensive background in Extended Enterprise Content Management (Extended ECM) and other OpenText productsQuick learner and able to retain a broad range of information in a rapid and complex technical environmentAbility to make sound and well-informed decisions and understand the impact and implications of decisionsDemonstrate problem-solving skills and logical thinking techniques and have excellent attention to detail.Excellent Teamwork/Collaboration skills: Inspires and motivates others toward goal accomplishments; develops and sustains cooperative working relationshipsAbility to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment and be able to work independently Must possess effective time management skillsMay be required to lead a team or project or have exceptional technical expertise.Must have excellent communication (written and oral) and interpersonal skillMust be willing to be on-call beyond normal working hours and on weekendsMust be willing to work on shifts (can be ASPAC, EMEA or US)
