Principal Business Development Manager, AWS Migration & Modernization

AWS is seeking a Principal Business Development Manager, Migrations and Modernization, to join our team. In this senior role, you will be responsible for generating, shaping, orchestrating, and closing some of Amazon's most complex and high-impact migration and modernization opportunities in Saudi Arabia. We are looking for an innovative, creative, analytical, and strategic thinker who is passionate about helping customers accelerate their cloud adoption and driving AWS growth.
The ideal candidate should enjoy solving complex problems, work effectively with cross-functional teams, and thrive in a fast-paced, constantly evolving setting. The role requires a deep understanding of the businesses of our largest AWS customers in Saudi Arabia across multiple industries (e.g., Government, Telecom, Retail, Financial Services, and Automotive) and an ability to earn trust with AWS and business leaders in the Middle East and internationally.
Migration and modernization initiatives are key drivers of our business and essential for customer success. Customers expect more than just operational efficiencies, whether motivated by cost savings, data center consolidation, or technology lifecycle events. While achieving 25-50% cost reductions, they aim to increase business agility, transform customer experiences, and drive new innovations leveraging AWS's cloud capabilities.
Key job responsibilities
- Formulate and execute the go-to-market strategy for migrations and modernization within Saudi, integrating strategies across various segments
- Engage directly with customer executives to devise large-scale migration and transformation plans, leveraging proven programs and deep expertise.
- Drive organizational change and implement best practices to enhance the growth of the migrations and modernization business
- Provide sales leadership with a consolidated view of progress towards goals and suggest strategies to bridge gaps.
- Manage organizational efforts in delivering complex migrations and modernization engagements, shaping and implementing strategies.
- Serve as a speaker, participating in market shaping activities, webinars, and external communications with advisors, customers, partners, and analysts.
- Mentor and develop vital participants in the Sales Process, focusing on migrations and modernization.
- Actively contribute to the cultivation of knowledge and expertise across the organization.
- Mentor and coach BDMs, providing feedback and guidance.
