Job Description
We are seeking an accomplished Principal Business Development Specialist with deep expertise in sensors within the semiconductor industry. This role requires a forward-thinking professional who will serve as the principal advisor and expert in advancing our sensor solutions. You will be responsible for driving the development of long-term strategic initiatives, engaging with key stakeholders, and shaping market entry strategies. This position requires advanced knowledge of sensor technologies, semiconductor market dynamics, and cross-functional leadership to influence decision-makers and contribute to critical projects that impact our business's future direction.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Business Development:Lead strategic initiatives to expand the market presence of our sensor products. Identify and prioritize new business opportunities in line with emerging trends and technology advancements.Be responsible for revenue, forecasts, price negotiation (in agreement with the guideline provided)Drive the development and execution of go-to-market strategies for cutting-edge sensor products, ensuring alignment with company objectives and long-term goals.Analyze industry trends, competitive landscape, and technological advancements to guide decision-making and product direction.Stakeholder Engagement and Collaboration:Serve as a key spokesperson and thought leader within the sensor market, establishing formal networks with industry leaders, partners, and customers.Collaborate closely with internal teams, including marketing, product management, sales, FAEs and application engineering, to ensure alignment and drive product adoption.Represent the organization at industry events, conferences, and meetings, showcasing our expertise and positioning the company as a leader in sensor technology.Market and Product Insight:Provide expert insights into the sensor market, guiding product strategy and identifying gaps and opportunities for future development.Lead market research and intelligence gathering efforts to influence product innovation and investment decisions.Support product development teams by advising on customer needs, application trends, and emerging markets.Innovation and Technical Expertise:Act as a subject-matter expert on sensor technology, applying in-depth knowledge to influence and guide the development of next-generation solutions.Facilitate knowledge transfer and mentor internal teams, driving continuous improvement in technology understanding and application.Qualifications
Experience and Education:
Minimum of 15 years of relevant experience in business development, product management, or a related field within the semiconductor or sensor industry.Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Physics, or a related technical field; Master’s degree with 12 years, or PhD with 8 years of experience is preferred.Technical and Market Expertise:Extensive knowledge of sensor technologies (e.g., MEMS, optical, temperature, pressure) and applications across industries, including automotive, industrial, and consumer electronics.Proven track record of successfully launching sensor products and expanding market share within the semiconductor sector.Deep understanding of the supply chain, good networking with OEMs and Tier-1Strategic Vision and Problem-Solving:Demonstrated ability to develop and implement strategic business plans, identify market opportunities, and adapt strategies based on industry dynamics.Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to make sound decisions based on limited information and long-term market forecasting.Interpersonal and Communication Skills:Exceptional communication skills with the ability to influence senior leaders, build formal networks, and engage diverse stakeholders.Experience serving as an external spokesperson and thought leader, with demonstrated ability to influence and drive industry recognition.Company Description
