Principal Business System Analyst, Sales Performance Management team

The Sales Performance Management (Salesforce) team is hiring a Principal Business System Analyst/Product Owner to align with the Plan to Pay value stream. You will act as the primary liaison between product management and the stakeholders from the development team facilitating communication & collaboration.You’ll play a key role in accelerating our journey as we transform our Sales planning ecosystem (to Salesforce lightning platform) to support Red Hat’s future growth. This position is a great opportunity to grow leadership skills while working alongside talented developers and stakeholders responsible for defining sales targets & strategies to achieve goals navigating business shifts.

What you will do:

Responsible for creating, refining, and maintaining the product backlog, a list of requirements

Refine business requirements, split features and epics into stories or tasks

Define acceptance Criteria and ensure that the team understands the “what” to work on

Mentor development team members in problem solving & understanding

Communicate shared understanding to align team’s efforts towards overall strategic goals 

Actively gather and understand business needs, translating them into actionable user stories and requirements

Actively participate in Sprint Planning & backlog refinement to ensure the team delivers high-quality and valuable work

Collaborate with stakeholders (e.g., Enterprise Architects, DevOps team) to ensure team aligns with best code development & deployment practices

Collaborate with stakeholders to secure UAT sign-off, involve in release planning, coordination & smooth deployment

What you will offer:

Proven Salesforce experience including Sales Cloud & Sales Planning

8-10 years of progressive work experience with 3+ years in a Product Ownership or Business Analysis role, preferably in an Agile/Scrum environment, proficiency with Jira

Strong business analysis skills including requirement refinement, process analysis & solution design

Ability to identify and solve problems related to sales planning processes

Understanding of sales planning process and best practices

Strength in prioritizing development work while managing product management expectations

Ability to resolve conflicting priorities and communicate key insights from multiple sources (e.g., business feedback, technical discussions, community input) to stakeholders and leadership

Demonstrated ability to quickly learn & adopt new technologies

Ability to work independently to meet shift in business priorities

Solid communication, presentation, organizational, time management, and interpersonal skills

Highly self-motivated and proactive in engaging stakeholders to drive clarity and alignment

Nice to have:

Experience with Salesforce ETM, Sales Incentive Compensation tools

Salesforce Business Analyst credentials

Certified Scrum Product Owner
