As a **Senior Civil Engineer** you’ll join a dynamic and technically focused Civil Engineering team, taking a lead role in the engineering design and delivery of civil infrastructure for renewable energy and BESS projects. This role will be based in our **Madrid** office 3 days per week, with the flexibility to work from home the rest of the week. Some travel to client/project sites throughout Spain and internationally will be required. \#LI-JF1 **Key Responsibilities** • Design of onshore civil works including the following experience: • Application of recognised standards/codes of practice for the design of terrestrial and nearshore civil works. • Development of engineering drawings including layouts and long sections and details. • Design in accordance with Health & Safety legislation and regulations (e.g. CDM Regs). • Working alongside senior Engineers to undertake feasibility studies, calculations, design, specifications and reports for various energy and power related projects. • Co-ordinating with the CAD team to deliverable engineering drawings, reviewing and amending AUTOCAD drawings accurately and efficiently according to the design brief. • Be a key interface and manage the relationship with clients and contractors. • Add value, avoid/resolve issues, mitigate risks and manage project’s finances and contracts by applying robust project management practices and experience from previous projects. **Minimum Qualifications** Requires a bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering All applicants must be able to complete pre-employment onboarding requirements (if selected) which may include any/all of the following: criminal/civil background check, drug screen, and motor vehicle records search, in compliance with any applicable laws and regulations. **Preferred Qualifications** + MSc in related field + Experience in renewable and/or BESS projects. + Professional recognition qualification such as Chartered Engineer. + Full Spanish Driving License + Site experience (including greenfield, construction and commissioning visits). + Experience of: Outline design, feasibility, FEED, detailed design, procurement and installation project stages associated with, but not limited to, the following: + Onshore cable routing design including trenchless crossings (such as Horizontal Directional drilling), Substation spatial layout and associated civil infrastructure works, + External works design including road design, section agreements and earthworks, + Utility and Drainage design/coordination. + Knowledge of Construction feasibility of onshore civil infrastructure including pre-construction layout (e.g. stockpile, laydown area and site compound areas, temporary working corridors) and RAMS. + Proven history of establishing and maintaining key client relationships. + Familiar with Proposal/ tender preparation and review. **Salary Plan** ENG: Engineering **Job Grade** 131 BVH, Inc., its subsidiaries and its affiliated companies, complies with all Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) affirmative action laws and regulations.
