Principal Cloud Solution Architect
The Principal Cloud Solutions Architect will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining cloud solutions within our organization. This role involves working closely with both technical and business teams to ascertain their requirements, assess the current infrastructure, and recommend cloud-based alternatives that support our firm’s goals.

Key duties include collaborating with technical teams to develop cloud architectures and producing comprehensive documentation. The role also includes coordinating with vendors and partners to identify suitable solutions, as well as identifying and mitigating security risks to ensure our cloud infrastructure remains scalable, reliable, and efficient.

The Principal Cloud Solutions Architect is essential for ensuring that SEI’s cloud-based solutions are secure, dependable, and scalable. This role offers the chance to collaborate with a skilled and dynamic team, making a meaningful impact on the success of our organization

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Design and build cloud-based systems that fulfil our technical and business needs.Collaborate with technical teams to create strategies and plans for cloud migration.Offer guidance and support to technical teams during the deployment of cloud services.Develop and keep up-to-date cloud-related documentation, including architecture diagrams, policies, procedures, and training materials.Work with vendors and partners to find appropriate cloud solutions.Identify and mitigate security risks to ensure the safety of our cloud infrastructure.Monitor and enhance cloud infrastructure for performance and cost-efficiency.Resolve issues with technical teams to ensure our cloud infrastructure remains highly available and dependable.Keep informed about the latest cloud technologies and recommend improvements to our infrastructure.Work alongside technical and business teams to make sure our cloud solutions are in line with our organizational objectives.Work with product team on prototyping ideas and designing cloud native application architecture.

Job Skills:

Demonstrated experience as a Cloud Architect or in a similar capacity.Comprehensive understanding of cloud-based technologies and architecture.Experience with public cloud infrastructure, preferably Google Cloud.Hands-on experience with serverless architecture.Experience using internal development platforms such as Humanitec.Familiarity with DevSecOps and Agile methodologies.Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.Excellent skills in communication and collaboration.Capability to work both independently and as part of a team.Ability to handle multiple projects concurrently.

Work Experience:

A minimum of eight years of experience in public cloud infrastructure and at least two years working with Google Cloud. 

Prior experience working in a product engineering team.

Education:

Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Electrical Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.


Certifications:

Professional certifications in cloud, like Google Certified Professional Cloud Architect.

Other:

Must be able to travel occasionally should a business need arise. For most roles travel would not be common. Travel may involve plane, car or metro. In accordance with ADA policies, reasonable accommodations regarding travel limitations can be provided. Travel will be more common for roles such as Account Executives (25 - 50%), senior leaders (10 – 20%) or Capella Core Faculty (5 – 10%). Ability to work onsite in Corporate or Campus location (in a typical office environment) may be required based on role. $163,400.00 - $245,200.00 - Salary
