Principal Consultant, Power BI-Developer

Inviting applications for the role of Principal Consultant, Power BI-Developer

In this role, you would be responsible for providing Enhancement Development services in a back-end environment.

You would be responsible for creating, testing, and maintaining UI applications, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver robust software solutions.

Responsibilities

Snowflake Administration and Development: Designed and managed end-to-end data pipelines by creating tables, stages, and pipes, ensuring efficient data ingestion and transformation workflows.

Power BI Development: Built and optimized Power BI reports for critical financial metrics, including daily PL, balance, and spread, across multiple time series (Spot, WTD, MTD, QTD, YTD) and granular levels (ticker level, asset type, and rate temperature).

Leadership and Mentoring: Served as the Lead Power BI Developer, providing training and mentorship to business users, enabling them to interpret and leverage data insights effectively.

Prime Brokerage Reporting: Developed robust prime brokerage account reports, improving visibility into financial and operational metrics.

Swap PL Reporting: Created detailed Swap PL reports for central funding and client-level PL, enabling accurate financial analysis and reporting.

End-to-End Data Engineering: Combined data engineering expertise with Power BI solutions to streamline reporting processes, ensure data quality, and deliver actionable insights to stakeholders.

Qualifications we seek in you

Minimum Qualifications / Skills

BE/B Tech/MCA/MBA

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Good problem-solving skills

Preferred Qualifications/ Skills

Good conceptual knowledge and experience in other BI tools is an added advantage.

Experienced Power BI developer including experience in Azure environment.

Experience required in implementing Power BI reports reading data from different data sources including on premise data servers, cloud services and several file format.

Experience in creating Reports, Dashboard and visualizations in PowerBI

Competent with Power BI Desktop, Gateway, Service and Report Server.

Good Experience in Paginated Reports using Report Builder.

Experience in migrating SSRS reports/Tabular reports to Power BI Paginated Reports.

Good understanding of Power Query M and hands-on experience in building sophisticated DAX queries

Experience in implementing static and dynamic Row Level Security, extensive experience with Dataset design, Data Cleansing and Data Aggregation

Understanding of relational database structures, theories, principles, and practices

Solid SQL reporting skills with the ability to create SQL views and write SQL queries to build custom datasets for reporting or analysis

Able to nurture robust working relationships with the team, peers and clients, scheduling flexibility required.

Overall candidate should have problem solving, macro-level research and analytics approach and good in numbers.

The approximate annual base compensation range for this position is [$60,000 to $75,500]. The actual offer, reflecting the total compensation package plus benefits, will be determined by a number of factors which include but are not limited to the applicant’s experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities; geographic location; and internal equity.
